April 2011 : The Doctor Is Coming!

Well that was a rather short campaign. I barely start and already IDW is bringing Doctor Who to the Digital Comic section of the PlayStation Network! So Episode 3? We're going all out to welcome the Doctor with a whole episode of reviews! What are we reviewing? Stay tuned!

Means tossing out what I did already until Episode 4 but that's OK.
Also maybe we'll have a Doctor Who special in PSP TV Episode 2... working on that now.

PSP TV Episode 1 Almost Done!

But not quite. Another 10 minutes of audio to edit and then the ending and we're done. But I can say for the most part it's done. I mean I got all the stuff together and the last 10 minutes is done in a raw format so I will make tomorrow's release no problem... maybe. We'll see. One last push today and it should be out.

Abit of a change to next episode though but we'll keep the schedule of the first reviews of the first cycle rolling. More shortly so stay tuned (hope to have the cast put up in 3 hours or so if not by tomorrow).

Podcast Updates (March 24th 2011)

Digital Scribbles Episode 3
Hmm... actually while I jumped on putting DS Episode 2 out as soon as Episode 1 was done I actually haven't started on this yet... probably because I'm working on PSP DLC Life and PSP TV now... go figure.

On a lighter note they finally started putting out free stuff again in the free comic section, and I'm hyped about Devil's Due releasing the Gold Key era of Star Trek comic on their section! So much so I'm going to be reviewing them for the summer!
Progress - 0%

PSP DLC Life Episode 1
Working on the second half of the cast now. Plan to look at the demo of Hoard, the Mini game Stand O Food and give a second commentary covering my first thoughts on the next gen of PSP, the NGP (aka the PSP2). PSP DLC Life Episode 2 I'll probably begin talking about LEGO gaming as we gear up to get LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars and looking forward to May's LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean... as well as hopefully LEGO Harry Potter Years 5 to 7 coming soon I hope.
Progress - 60%

PSP TV Episode 1
Just started working on it and already we're changing the Commentary from how the video section can be better to "What the hell just happened to all the free Anime episodes they had up?!?"... I mean really they're ALL gone?!? And so fast?!? Come on PlayStation Network!! Give us a break!!
Progress - 20%

Next podcast out, probably by this weekend, is PSP DLC Life Episode 1 (March 23rd)! Stay tuned!

PSP DLC Life Episode 1 Delayed

I got 25 minutes of it put to bed but I'm still doing more before it releases. Hope to have it out by this weekend, including (yes) my first thoughts on this new NGP (Next Generation Portable) coming December 2011 from Sony. Stay tuned.

PSP casts to change in 2011 and 2012

Yes, as I advance so does the cast. Slowly but surely.

2011
PSP DLC Life and PSP TV becomes PSP Go DLC Life and PSP Go TV
Yes, I know the Go is awkward in some respects and looks like a device born from the mating of a PSP and a flip top smart phone or blackberry but still... I need the 16 GBs of iuternal storage to review more stuff. Must have that 16 GBs and it's supposed to have bluetooth technology.. whatever that is.

2012
PSP Go DLC and PSP Go TV become... oh my god... NGP DLC and NGP TV... if I'm lucky by Christmas 2011 it's renamed the PSP2 then it's PSP2 DLC TNG (The Next Generation) and PSP2 TV
Hmm... it's a PSP born of an unholy orgy of a PSP (back to the original look), two DSs (dual touch screen and touch pad on the back where the UMD slot used to be), and a motion capable iphone or ipod touch... my technology gets more action than I do... ouch.

Pray it has double internal storage and stuff.

So first off the evolution from PSP to PSP Go... stay tuned.

From June and July we'll pack together the Harry Potter movie reviews into two casts... but tune in to DVD Parade Max for the premiere week coverage of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Notes On Digital Scribbles Episode 2

1-The cast was supposed to come out in April so I keep mentioning April  a few times.
2-Infestation : Star Trek and Infestation Ghostbusters delayed until May, and yes at the end of the cast you know that I know what Infestation : Ghostbusters is about, it came out during the creation of the cast.
3-Considering adding MARVEL Zombies to the zombie list during April to June.
4-Bottle of Awesome pushed back to Episode 4, where we'll put to bed that, Lily of the Valley and Safe Inside at three issues a piece.
5-Due to putting the cast together it's abit skippy for a few minutes (nothing too severe but I thought you should know just in case your worried).

Putting the cast out shortly so stay tuned!

Podcast Release News

Updates on new releases for the rest of March!

Digital Scribbles Episode 2
At last it's done! Check out the addendum post coming up on it's release to tell you the changes made during the cast that wasn't rectified during the cast itself (there are several changes).

This month we're reviewing Infestation Month 1 with Zombies vs. Robots (and who is doing the Zombies vs. Robots movie), Infestation #1 and Infestation Transformers #1-#2.

DC Digital Monthly this episode features Issue #1 of Bottle of Awesome, Celadore and Safe Inside. Reviews of Issue #2s start next Episode.

Commentary on Adult Digital Comics (or lack theoft), and check out the ending (our own skit to warm you up for Infestation Star Trek coming in May review wise).

But that is not all!

PSP DLC Life Episode 1
Coming March 23rd it'll be reviews of Minis, PS1 ports, PSP games (both download and what's available for download that I sorta cheated on by reviewing the UMD) and more. Full news on what to expect coming soon concerning Episode 1.

PSP TV Episode 1
Yes, a cast just for the video section. I start the first cycle of Anime reviews (tell you what series made the cut), talk about the steps needed to expand this even more (more storage needed) and this month's commentary, for a change, has nothing to do with the lack of adult content... rather the one flaw with the video section, and what it needs to be better (i.e. it needs to be more like the game and comic section in one regard).

So that's what's coming up, please check them out when they release (and tell your friends about us, we need more followers please... thank you!)

RKYV Online #45 Now Available!

Now you can download the newest RKYV Online from your favorite source for digital content! Quite abit going on, and I still have to read it all myself with over 50 pages of content! Check it out!

As for Digital Scribbles? We're going to expand abit since we're going to slow down Infestation coverage to keep apace with RKYV Online. So next episode, 3, we'll only talk about Infestation Star Trek & Transformers to wrap that up (save Infestation Ghostbusters til' May).

In the meantime we're covering the following in Episode 3 (reviews expanded)
- Yes, still covering Victorian Undead #1-#3 of 6, second half coming in Episode 4 on April 21st.
- DC Digital Monthly we wrap up Bottle of Awesome with #2-#3, Review Celadore and Imaginary Boys #2, and start a new review in a zombie vein with Black Cherry Bombshells #1.
- We do some Markosia by reviewing Beowulf the Graphic Novel and Raising Amy, we also look at publishers one step shy of irrelevancy at the PSN store (of which there are a few) as we look at the comic adaptation of the cult classsic late 70's movie The Warriors (which oddly enough is really short at only 2 issues), and we check out Devil's Due and Mercy Sparx #0-#2.
- And our usual Monthly Ledger, Commentary (could the PSN be the next place to find new upcoming talent if they actively encouraged and made a place open for the next generation of talent to be showcased in their store?) and more.

Digital Scribbles Episode 2 ready for Wednesday release

While I am keeping a spot open for Infestation : Star Trek #1 (if I can get ahold of a PSN card by Wednesday) the cast is just about done. So it'll be released in three days (Wednesday March 16th).

Next cast, Digital Scribbles Episode 3, will be out April 7th 2011, and continue where we left off by covering Victorian Undead #1-#3
Infestation Month 2 with reviews of Infestation : Ghostbusters #1-#2, Star Trek #2 and Transformers #2
DC Digital Montlly with Issues #2 of Bottle of Awesome, Celadore and Imaginary Boys
New commentary, the Monthly Ledger, and more.

A new Digital Scribbles out by Mid March?

As the cast comes along if we reach the 40 minute mark by this coming Wednesday (March 16th) I may release the cast early... that's alot of content after all in 2 weeks. We'll see. Right now I can say we're at the 30 minute mark so it's coming along rather well... stay tuned.

This cast so far?
Part 1 of Infestation with coverage of Zombies vs. Robots (the source of the Infestation), Infestation #1 and Infestation Transformers #1.
DC Digital Monthly as we look at Bottle of Awesome #1, Celadore #1 and Safe Inside #1.
Commentary on the lack of adult digital comic content on PlayStation Network.
There would be no monthly ledger this mid month cast, that'll be back in April.

So that would mean April's cast would have...
Victorian Undead #1-#3 (6)
Infestation : Star Trek #1-#2 and Infestation Transformers #2
DC Digital Monthly as we review Bottle of Awesome, Celadore and Imaginary Boys #2.
Commentary? Next commentary covers an interesting topic... now we got homebrewed gaming (in some context some of the PSN game releasees even encourages homebrewed game making) but... what about a market open in the PlayStation Network for self published independent comic creators? A small corner table in their digital domain for fresh blood and old school talent that has been struggling for the longest time to break into the comic world? I'll comment on that next time.

But still, that's only if we get to 40 minutes so... stay tuned for updates.

New votes, check them out!

What would you like to see reviewed first from Zenescope? Would youu like a podcast collection covering both the Classic Star Trek movies and Star Trek The Next Generation movies from DVD Parade? We're putting them up for vote, so let us know what you think!

Yes, we are watching all the breaking news about the major hard core earthquake in Japan, and the tsunami as it happens. All our strongest prayers and good will wishes for all our friends over in Japan after the rather scary nasty mean earthquake and tsunami.

Now back to revue news to keep your spirits up. I don't know when the March RKYV Online is coming up, hope soon (post here when it's out) but I do know April's Digital Scribbles is now 70% done... yes, we still have three sections to finish but hope to have that done in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Digital Scribbles March 2011 doing rather well!

It's only been out a short time and already it's 7th most downloaded podcast of my podcasts to date! Yay! Please keep inviting people to download the cast please so listeners keep going up please! April 2011's cast is coming April 7th! Stay tuned!

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

Digital Scribbles April 2011 now... 75% done?

Almost, and that's estimating if we do another 40 minute cast barring it going overtime. We still have to review Victorian Undead, the crossovers for Infestation and kick off DC Digital Monthly with Celadore #1-#2, O, Imaginary Boys #2, Lily of the Valley #2 and Night Owls #2 and the monthly ledger... we're doing rather well.

Stay tuned for updates.

Digital Scribbles April 2011 Update

An update already? Well I was cranking on all cylinders so I put together the schedule, and started work on it already. So far it's 20% put to bed... of course I won't get the cast done this week, there are factors (review items I still need for instance, and so forth) that won't be done until the very deadline week, but we can get abit put to bed this week and get the cast started at least. So that's something.

In April we're reviewing the following...
The first part of Victorian Undead from DC Wildstorm, the second half coming in May with the conclusion of Infestation from IDW.
The first half of Infestation from IDW featuring Zombies vs. Robots, Infestation #1 and Infestation Transformers and Infestation Star Trek
DC Digital Monthly with Celadore #1 & #2 and Night Owls #1 & #2.
Commentary on a lack of truly adult (and yes, that means porn) content in digital comic format, the newest update on the Digital Ledger, and our new vote (what Zenescope title should we review first?)

That's April and that's coming in 4 weeks... stay tuned to updates as we roll along!

Digital Scribbles March 2011 Now Available For Download!

This month is the opening for Digital Scribbles the Podcast and we're looking at the following...

Digital Scribbles vs. OELove with Star Trek Round 1 featuring Star Trek Assignment Earth (IDW) versus Star Trek the Manga (TOKYOPOP)
My commentary on Where Art Thou Oh Manga Publishers?
My picks to date from the DC Digital Comics line (first of a series of reviews of my picks and why you should add these to your reading collection).

Already started working on Digital Scribbles April 2011, which will be out first week of April! Stay tuned... oh, please tell your friends about us and download the cast please! We need followers please!

Now I have to put it together, put it into mp3 format, and release it. So I'm working to get it out today.
That and Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 6 which I still have to get out.
Next I'm already starting getting Digital Scribbles April ready, and hope to get it out the first Wednesday of April (once I know what is out on the PlayStation Network in terms of digital comics.

April Update (Digital Scribbles)

Right now consuming the first books for Infestation for April's Digital Scribbles extra review!

So far I reviewed the first Zombies vs. Robots series (3 issue set) and Infestation #1 (the opening intro of the crossover which comprises of 2 part runs in Star Trek, Transformers and G.I.Joe... and probably Ghostbusters but while I have seen issues for Star Trek and Transformers and know of a 2 issue set for G.I. Joe I have yet to see anything for Ghostbusters yet... must go look at IDW again.

So April's review so far is the following...
Phase 1 - Zombies vs. Robots Collection (3 issue first series set)
Phase 2 - Infestation #1 (of 2, #2 being the closing volley of the infestation)
Phase 3 - Whatever tie ins I can get before deadline, which will probably be Star Trek Infestation #1 (2) and Transformers Infestation #1 (2)...

Stay tuned for updates.
